I'm planning to upgrade my RAM, and I think I've found a good deal here: http://bit.ly/1du9cmB But I need to know if this is the same kind as the ones they provide on iFixit. Here's the link: http://bit.ly/1dubuCn. So the question is, are these the same type of RAM chips? (The kind of iFixit is PC3-8500.)

Hopefully you are able to find this with the information I've posted. I think that I can't get closer... :(

PC3-8500 is 1066Mhz RAM.
But that doesn't really matter you can always buy faster RAM. It will just use the fastest setting that your mainboard/cpu support. RAM is currently sold with 1600Mhz as the norm so you would not save any money buy trying to find slow 1066Mhz RAM anyway.
