    Hi guys,

Just trying to jailbreak my iPad 2 because I'm desperate for Retina Pad, but unfortunately I get the above message on my screen seemingly having left it for even 15 minutes or so.

Is this normal? I've tried the VPN trick to no avail...

Any other suggestions would be very welcome, thanks!

Anyone had this problem and found a way around it?

Would it be okay for me to jailbreak on my girlfriend's Macbook? Even though my library is on my Windows desktop?

Dozens of threads just like this.

    Do this:

    Back up via iTunes
Erase all settings and content from " Settings" on your iPad.
    Setup as new device
    Jailbreak
    Restore from backup

    Done.

I had an issue on a 4S where Absinthe wouldn't finish and install Cydia. I just reran the jailbreak and it worked fine the second time so try that. Also disable password and keep it plugged it until Cydia is installed.

The jailbreak shouldn't wipe any data so you can jailbreak it on a computer not already associated with your device. I did my own 4S that way.

Try starting the Jailbreak app again from beginning to end..........

If that fails do what I did and restore from backup and try again.

Remeber to remove any password prior to jailbreaking..

Let me know if that works.
