Another problem - that doesn't look blue? Is it already in a case?

It’s rather white in most light settings. Reminds me of iPad Air 4. my green one looks silver most of the time

I got my iPhone 15 this morning and it is the “blue” color. I was comining from an iPhone 12 Mini (Blue) and while I understood the new phone was a much more subtle blue I’m confused by the back of the new phone. It looks totally white (or light cream) to me, actually exactly the color and texture of the sheet protecting the front glass on the phone.

I was sure it was a protective sheet for the back glass so I came here for some answers. Your photos make me think it isn’t a protective sheet on the back but just a VERY subtle blue tint. Am I correct?

Cheers!

I just went to the Apple Store to pick up my 15 Plus in Blue and intentionally didn’t check it out in store to still have this surprise effect when I unpack it.

I did check out the Pro and Pro Max and coming from the 12 Pro Max, I was pretty eh about it. Looked and felt the same.

I just got home and unpacked the iPhone 15 Plus and I LOVE it. It actually FEELS (literally) like a completely different device and the subtle shade of blue is also nice. It’s so much lighter than my 12 Pro Max. I love it
Glad to hear you love what you got. It is important to be content and satisfied on what we have because it makes us happy.

my only concern is, that, given the max has become lighter the plus hasnt, will the weight between the two really be that different??
The Plus actually has become 2 grams (1%) lighter, though that’s indeed negligible. It’s still 10% lighter than the Pro Max, which is still very much noticeable, though it’s obviously less than the previous 18% difference.

but the new plus is the same weight as the old 14 plus right? Given that of course the weight would be less between the new 15 PM and the 15 plus.

People will notice 20g difference, no matter what.

I’m saying compared to 14 PM what people are used to. The difference is now negligible. Right ?

I just picked up the 15PM from the Apple store, and it barely feels lighter than the 14PM. The way everybody made it seem, I thought it was going to float in my hand. 🤣

What's more noticeable than the weight is, the slightly smaller body with smaller bezels.

hey ill take some improvement LOL!!

I haven't felt the 15 pro's in person yet but 15 Plus I got for someone as a gift arrived and I love the matte back feel and the weight of the phone is fantastic!

Makes my 14PM feel like an absolute brick

The pink looks even nicer than I was expecting too

Edit ok one problem. There is something oozing out of the camera ring?! I already wiped it off twice thinking it came from my hand or something but nope! Glue? The phone also smells a little „Primark“ clothes

Edit: wiped it off and so far so good. As I will be going on vacation tomorrow, I decided against asking for a replacement for now (I have AppleCare+ anyway)
What's the country of manufacture for your phone, if I may ask?

Picked up my green 15 Plus this morning. I wish the back was more green. But overall I love this color.

My only complaint is the lack of an always-on display. It's just weird having had it and then no longer having it. But...that's honestly my only negative.

The weight is amazing. Everyone is losing their minds about how much lighter the 15 Pro/Pro Max is this year but the non-Pros are still far lighter than even those new models. I also thought the titanium was nothing special aesthetically in person.

The new backplate is such a revelation. I honestly don't find it slippery. Can't say that about any previous iPhone I've had for many years now. I'm planning on going case-less for the first time since my iPhone 3G.

Also read from Ming-Chi that the 15 Plus is off to strong sales. Really hope that is the case. You shouldn't have to shell out at least $1,200 USD for a larger iPhone.

That's a white phone .. not blue.

They are rather pale, it is more of a blue tint, which is highlighted more or less by different lightning.
I have the pro max in blue and it is very, very, very dark and does not look blue at all. I put a light directly on it and it still looks black. It seems to be 90% black and 10% blue. Here is a photo with a flashlight shining on it.

EDIT: I re-read the OP and see that his phone is 15 Plus .. Not 15 Pro Max.

What was your prior phone?

I’m really considering this. I don’t really care about ProMotion but I do kind of like always on. But I could also do without it

I have a 14 Pro and am literally about to ‘down grade’ to a 15 Plus.

i feel like the 14 Pro is too heavy for its size, and its crazy to think the 15 Plus is about the same weight, considering the other perks of bigger screen and battery.

my only slight concerns are lack of AOD and promotion, although feel like AOD is a battery hog (it’s nuked my 14P to the point I turn it off) and promotion is great but the 60hz on the 15’s is done well and more than tolerable.

i also like the finish on the 15s more than the 15 Pros - this maybe 12 months of enjoying something different before a possible return to the pros next year if they manage to wow me.

Also, im a hobby photographer, so have an expensive pro camera setup, so the latest camera buzz on the PM means less to me, as at the end of the day you cant compare the quality between the two.

Anyone else done a similar ‘down grade’ lol?

Loving the always on feature, no more tapping to see what's up, all you need is a glance.

Do it!

The 15 Plus is very good this year. And it has most of what matters in the 14 Pro. It’s lighter and will feel comfortable in hand. And you already have better cameras, so that’s not a loss. And probably will make you love your cameras even more.

Thank you and I agree. I really like the new portrait feature on the 15s and the camera system looks solid for what I need it for.

if I go anywhere of real interest I have my ’real’ camera with me anyway.

5 x zoom on the PM is cool and the Images look good for a phone, assuming you view them on a phone or a small screen.
