Got my 128GB 6S Plus a week ago, it replaced a 64GB iPhone 6 Plus.

2 gigantic improvements are:

1. Battery life is dramatically better! My 6 Plus would average 5-6 hours of screen on time. This 6S Plus is averaging 8-10 hours of screen on time at the same level of brightness. Considering the battery is actually smaller that's amazing.

2. Overall phone speed is astonishing! The week before I got my 6S Plus I was using my 6 Plus on iOS 9. It was very sluggish to put it mildly. Running this same OS my 6S Plus never skips a beat! I turn off none of the eye candy, on the 6 Plus I had to in order to make it tolerable. The 6S Plus simply flies!

I'm 1000% satisfied with this upgrade!

It was a problem due to Tapatalk.

Seriously? Do you really think I started 4 identical threads? A bit of logic would have been prudent.

It was sarcasm. I knew that it was a bug or mistake. I tried to include the :) to indicate my sarcasm. Im glad your enjoying your new iPhone.

Yes I am enjoying it greatly, enough to post 4 identical threads about it.

That was sarcasm, J/K no hard feelings.

Your 6 Plus had issues. My 6 Plus currently has 5 hours of onscreen time with a little over 24 hours of standby time and is still at 52%. Also, while my 6 Plus is not as fast as the 6S Plus that I just returned for the Sim free version. It is definitely running very well on iOS 9.02. :)

That's stellar battery. Mine wasn't as bad as his but I couldn't get 5 hours screen Plus 24 hours standby out of a 6 plus.

do you believe ur iphone 6s plus will be as sluggish as your iphone 6plus in one year? that's how apple model works

i have different kind of problem.. I opted for the restore from my old iPhone 3gs while setting up.. Now after the setup the phone refuses to go to the home page.. Its stuck in a white appearance with the slider saying "Slide to upgrade".. but it refuses to act when I slide through it.. Annoying..

I tried restarting several times but it gets stuck at the same place..

Can anyone help me on the above issue??

Maybe you should start your own thread instead of hijacking this one ;)

I've done a complete 180 from thinking I didn't want to move up from the 4" display to buying a 6S+. Initially I was experiencing some lag and stutter, but perhaps things were indexing in the background because now everything is running smooth and I'm happy. I love the extra battery life it provides over the 6S, and I'm sure having OIS will come in handy down the road.

Just picked up my 6S+ 64 GB (Samsung chip, hope I really don't lose 2 hours of use per charge) today. I can say for sure that this is the biggest iPhone upgrade that Apple has every made. The phone is more than twice as fast on most tasks in comparison to my 6. Overall everything is improved on the phone. If you have a 6 or a 6+ it is worth upgrading to... just for the shear speed.

PS-too bad about chipgate...

I must have the wrong model, then. My 6 Plus never got sluggish at all. Should I call Apple and complain?

I completely agree.

I got a 6+ on launch day last year to replace my 5S, but had to return it as the jump in size was just too big (for me).

This year I went for a 6S+ and the jump is fine and I think this may well be the best phone I've ever owned. :)

Checked my phone, thankfully no Chipgate! It has the TSMC chip. That probably explains some of the phenomenal battery life and performance I'm experiencing.

I'm getting around an hour of extra battery life on my 6S+, but isn't that down to iOS9 and doesn't the 6+ enjoy this battery boost too? I never ran mine on iOS9 so can't comment. Battery life aside, this is a completely different beast to the 6+. Only the loudspeaker is worse but performance is night & day better in every regard.

I think the 6s Plus is built for the long haul. It's an absolute beast in performance. The 6 Plus in comparison, had some performance issues right out of the box. I might actually keep this phone for two years.

I don't think comparing the 6 Plus to the 6S plus (in terms of battery) is a fair comparison. The 6s would have better battery as the 6 Plus's battery has gone through more charge cycles and thus weaker than the 6s. But all else about the 6s is accurate :)
