Hey all! As the title says, has anyone successfully used one of their “incidents” to get a replacement or fixed Apple Watch with a scratched screen? I have had my Apple Watch S3 for like 30 days and it already has a long scratch at the top. I haven’t bumped anything, I have a desk job, I feel like my screen must have a defect or something. I had a Series 0 for almost 2 years and the thing is SPOTLESS.

I know it says Apple Care + doesn’t cover cosmetic, but does that mean you also cannot use one of the two incidental service fees? My OCD is kicking in and I just cannot stand looking at the damn scratch. I just wanna pay the fee and be done with it.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I personally would just pay the $69 if I really wanted to replace the display. But I guess it depends how bad it really is as well.

To answer your question, they replaced mine. I hit it against the stone tile in my shower and made some nice scratches on the glass. The new replacement arrived in the mail yesterday. My year old Series 1 looks brand new.

What is the process of getting a replacement, do they send you a new watch before they receive your scratched one? How long did it take get the replacement? How much did it cost?

I went to an Apple store. They took the watch and sent it in. That was Tuesday and I got a replacement Monday. Cost $69. Better than the $289 without AC+.

Mind you, you’ll be using 1 of 2 incidents.

I’d say just use it the way it is and maybe exercise it before the AW4 comes out.

Better resale value when it’s “mint”
