So I was using ac wifi with no problem until last week the internet slowed to a crawl. I rebooted everything, poked and peeked, and nothing until I switched back to n and suddenly the internet is flying at warp speed again. Switched back to ac, the internet is a trickle, back on n it's a flood.

Has anyone else experienced this? Because I don't know what changed...

Could be lots of different reasons. Maybe your neighbour is running interference?

My advice:

Go with WHAT WORKS for you -- even if the seemingly "slower" setting actually works faster....

My best advice here is to try a factory reset and leave the networks under one SSID and give it a try. Then try separating them back out if you choose.
