So my ipad2 is stuck in portrait mode after an update from iOS7 to iOS8.

I have tried the rotation lock trick, rebooting the ipad and restoring and updating the ios... no luck on anything so far.

Any suggestions or is the ipad stuck for ever!....... this has been ongoing for a month now and its really starting to grind on me.

I have tried the rotation lock trick..

I don't know what "trick" you're using, but have you simply tried turning the rotation lock off? Can you post a screenshot of your Control Center that shows rotation lock is off?
