Anyone else noticed you can’t access control center while the x is locked? I know it was possible in my 7/6 but for some reason not on x.

With Face ID I’m not sure it makes sense to have Control Center available when locked. I don’t want a thief to be able to put the device into airplane mode, etc.

I haven’t encountered a time when I wanted to invoke Control Center and Face ID had not already authenticated me.

This is interesting because when I first got my phone on release day, a few days later I was testing features and realized it would not activate control center while locked. Now it does. Something has changed and I didn’t change it. Did the recent iOS update change this?

Good point there.

This is great from a security standpoint having thought about it. You can lockdown even more of your phone if your face isn’t detected, such as replying to texts from the lock screen, viewing past notifications, turning airplane mode on etc.

It was a pain with Touch ID to disable those features until you register on the lock screen your fingerprint, but now it’s more seamless.
