Is there a way to change a password for or access for Transmit software? I cancelled the software but it doesn't end until next April. I don't want users on a job I no longer have using my personal subscription.

Please elaborate a little. I use Transmit, but I have a license. It never ends. So, how have you subscribed to Transmit? Also, Panic is a business that responds quickly to customers' grievances, in my experience in instances I have had to contact them. So, you should send them an email as well.

I do not think you are talking about Panic Sync, of which you can change the password.

Yes I'm talking about Transmit from Panic. That is a purchased app through Apple app store. You pay a yearly subscription charge for it of $24.95 and have access to unlimited use of the software.
I want to deny access to Transmit on the computer at work where my personal Transmit software is installed and being used — on my dime. I did cancel the renewal of my subscription but it is still active until April of next year, and I don't want my previous employer to have free access.

Send an email to Panic and they will help you out with this. As I understand, there can be a few scenarios here. You could change the password of your iCloud account. In that case, Transmit may or may not stop functioning on the Mac you installed it. Again, Panic will be able to tell you about the exact behaviour of their app in this case and help you out. Send them an email.

So it's linked to your AppleID. Why in the world is your personal AppleID still known to your previous employer? Why was it known to them in the first place? Change your AppleID password and get on with your life.

I appreciate the sentiment - you've parted company and you don't want them to benefit from something you've paid for. Since this has to do with a subscription, all you can hope for is to contact the developer and see if they'd immediately cancel the subscription (and maybe issue a partial refund to you), rather than allow it to play out.

If they can't do that for you, maybe you can console yourself with the thought that the next person to use that Mac may not need/use the app at all. If you installed it for personal use rather than business use... does the business even have a use for it?

Most companies wipe any computer used by previous employee to prevent keyloggers, ssh access, ect. Transmit should be gone.

You can log into your iCloud account and remove the work computer as well.

App Store subscriptions, purchases, and refunds are handled by Apple. Apple doesn't do partial refunds on subscriptions.
