Hi I have tried, searching but no solutions as of yet, but the problem only effects OS X. I have setup samba on my Ubuntu machines, OS X sees the shares and I can access them with no problems. The problem when I setup aliases in those shares. Windows and Linux machines have no problems with the aliases but OS X says the aliases are broken. Let me explain further in case there is confusion and why I am using aliases.

I have created a central folder .samba (hidden) in my home folder. In my smb.conf that folder is shared. So I create a link with ln -s in that folder to my music folder that way if I want to stop sharing that folder I delete the link instead of tinkering with my configuration file. Now when I access that share from windows or from another linux machine, I can browse my music files no problems. With OSX it just shows a broken alias and of course when try to access the folder it tells me the alias is broken. Is there a way to fix in OSX???
