Hai,

Im in an apartment building, and we have internet over the cable. Now there is a local server, and windows users access it by typing "\\derp" in their Internet Explorer bar(or whatever browser really) I tested it on my dualboot, and it works. Now I was wondering how one does that on a mac? I obviously tried the \\derp, but that returns a "can't open the page"(hurr durr, sort of saw that coming). I think its somewhere in servers and then browse or something?
Does anyone know what I"m on about? :p

Cheers

Behind you
it has to do with the way windows connects to servers.

ask for the ip of it then use finder to connect to it like this:
cmd+k - smb://x.x.x.x/ and it should connect no problem
I do this at my school
