As I wait for my MacBook Pro to get past its hard drive delay, I am hunting for any accessories that I might need/want with me at college next year. If anyone is or has been in the same boat I am (with going to college with a laptop, not the hard drive delay) I would like to know your input and suggestions!

P.S. I already have a matching iPod Nano and a printer to go with it.

It has been such a failure that I tend to forget that Microsoft put out this enourmous flop. Thanks for reminding me :D

Those things are a...little pricey...to say the least. 165 British Pounds isn't exactly something I would just decide to pick up... Thats almost $320. Thats 1/3rd my way to another macbook!

You can find them substantially discounted.

If you're going to college / uiversity then invest in a portable hard drive as soon as possible. 160Gb bus-powered drive should run you about £60 and it'll be a lifesaver if anything happens to your laptop.

And yes smiddlehurst, I plan on getting a 320 gig hard drive so I can store EVERYTHING I have. It'll be great when Leopard comes out with timemachine.

I am surprised. They don't seem to distribute in the US.

    4GB RAM -$300
    AppleCare-$240
and possibly today a 500GB Mybook Pro triple interface-$180
