iDisagree. If Apple doesn't stagger product launches, they lose money in the end, because as much as people love Apple products, the majority of consumers can't afford to buy thousands of dollars worth of product in one or two quarters. It'd be better if they spread product launches over a wider range of time periods, so that people can rationalize their purchases easier. ;)
Very few people can actually afford to buy thousands of dollars of different products in 1 or 2 quarters. Thats why they don't, just because Apple are releasing new products at a similar time it doesn't mean you have to buy them all.

Most people (fan boys aside) get a new iPhone when their contract is up, get a new Mac when their old one has had it, get a new iPad when their old one has had it. Believe it or not the vast majority of us do not buy the newest product when it's released year after year.

To the poster that said this summer would be tragically short, and all others actually, for me at least, it's going to be one of the longest summers in recent memory. Wanting a larger iPhone for a while now, I am more than ready for it. We all remember how long it took for CHRISTmas to come!:D

Of course. It was always going to be this way. There was never going to be a staggered release for iPhone. Such would be a disaster.

Why? It works out quite well for Apple. You're just sad 'cuz you want it NOW.

Because if they wait to release everything *I* want all crammed into this fall, ( iPhone, iPad, Mac Mini, Apple TV) I am going to have to make some budget adjustments. ;) Plus woe the peeps I have to buy holiday gifts for.

No dual LED flash? Or is that just another misleading mockup? The iPhone 5s has a decent flash for those late nights at the club, but they can do better!
I doubt they'd go back to the old LED flash. If the mockups are correct, and the flash will be round instead of pill-shaped, then they have come up with a better way to meet or exceed the performance of the pill-shaped flash on the 5S.

Think of it. Pill-shaped performance in a round shape!

Regardless of what this guy said, I personally believe they would launch BOTH phones alongside each other. It's either they do both, or the larger phone won't come out until next Fall.

I can't believe they're stuffing everything into the Fall. Still no releases....

I agree. It is going to make for a monster holiday quarter, and it will be tough for "financial analysts" and even Apple to pinpoint revenue for the quarter. Regardless, it is set up to be their most successful quarter ever.
It will be an interesting time for the stock come the January earnings report.

Hey hey hey, what's wrong with pill shaped? The Beats Pill is doing it. :p

I currently have an iPhone 5 and an iPad mini. I like having two devices.

If I get the 4.7 iPhone 6, I will still like my iPad Mini as a companion.
If I get the 5.5 iPhone 6, will I need to get an iPad Air instead? Hmmmm..

It is going to be a tough decision.

Yeah... 5.5"... take my money...

Apple: "So the upgrade from the C$919 64GB version to 128GB is an extra C$100; the 5.5" premium adds another C$120; and let's not forget taxes... for a total of only... $C1,300"

Me: Walks out and buys a Samsung Galaxy Note 4 for C$950 all in with an additional 128GB microSD card.

:D

Samsung's Galaxy S6 will be 6.5" now. That'll be their last gasp post iPhone 6 and iOS 8 when the world realizes there's much less reason to use Android.

I always wondered about that too; I certainly fall into the same category that I can't upgrade all my devices in the same quarter, and often wondered how this works out for Apple by forcing consumers to make choices rather than buy everything throughout the year...

...but it must not be hurting their bottom line, somehow it must be increasing it. Otherwise they would not have shifted so definitively to this schedule for the last couple years.

I think it turns out the Apple followers who even consider upgrading year after, ALL of their devices, pale in comparison to the sheer number of NEW buyers to Apple that get turned on by NEW products being released in the holiday quarter.

iphone 6

If I look at my original iPhone 1 which is still working perfectly! the curves are same on iPhone 6 like iPhone 1 looks almost the same so Steve was seeing to the future :D or Tim is incompetent in innovation ,I didn't saw anything new in the pipeline after Steve past away!

With 4.7 and 5.5, no one will have the fundamental excuse of screen size to shift to Android. This truly puts the OS's head-to-head. And when it comes down to the OS, iOS is the clear winner.

The mockup 5.5 inch phone bugs me, surely it will have a row of 5 icons rather than the same 4 icons made larger?!

That remains to be seen. The 4.7 will definitely have the same layout, just larger. The 5.5 may likely be the same.

Okay, that one looks like 5.5 days old and 128 GB.(Great Barks)

I'll take it:)

----------

Why do you have to hold it? It's a done deal. Of course it's going to be big and maybe strange at first but you will buy the 5.5 for sure! Yeah need 128GB since it's going to be a video beast. I think this is a no brainer and there will be 128GB.

Apple has been stuck at 64 GB max forever ,despite GB prices coming down.

As for holding, while I am not from Missouri (as in show me) I like to check how a larger phone goes with the way I use it, keep it on me.

For those that put any credibility into Brian whites 'sources ' remember one thing. Brian white has been over 70% wrong in his predictions this is fact. I remember when White was saying that an Apple Television is coming and he kept repeating 'according to his sources'
Even hid earnings predictions are way off This guy has no clue about anything Apple. Fact!!!!

Can NOT wait for the 5.5" iphone. I'll miss my note 3, but I'd rather have the ios ecosystem (with swype). Only 2 things left before I commit to a switch, 2gb of ram (so safari can stop crashing so much) and 128gb model.

This won't happen!

Perhaps I am the only one who thinks this but I am getting the sinking feeling that there will be NO Apple products this year save from a slight upgraded Macbook Air that was so slight if you blinked you would have missed it.
I think they are having far far far too many problems and things have slipped out of Tim Cook's hands. he just does not seem on top of things. While he may be happy to just focus on software, Apple can not afford to. No matter how good the software may be or the services Apple needs to release hardware and soon. otherwise I regret to say that Firms such as Samsung will catch up. By the time or if Apple release the Iphone 6 Samsung will have launched the Galaxy S8. That will probably be a serious contender for the Iphone 6 and beat it even.
I will believe it if it happens though I doubt it very much.
I know that WWDC 2014 is about software but Apple can not just wait till the last month of the year then release everything in one go!!
even being reasonable Apple would have to launch
Iphone 6 4.7"
Iphone 6 5.5"
Ipad Air 2
Ipad Mini retina 2
New Macbook pro 13"
New Macbook pro 15"
New Mac Mini
New Apple TV
Iwatch

and if they try to stagger the launches then we will be having one every 2 weeks!
it takes an awful lot of planning to have just 1 so I doubt it.

There is no way Apple will launch the Iphone this year and even if Tim decides he can be bothered then it will be October at the earliest. That leaves 8 weeks to launch everything else as apple does not like to launch major products together as they detract from one another. Even an iphone and Iwatch together would be bad.
I don't think there will be any iwatch at all for what it's worth and there is ZERO evidence that Tim Cook will launch ANY new product category that he mentioned.
i think that was just to keep off the calls for his resignation.

He should just quit now before he makes it worse.
