Accidental Call on FaceTime Audio

I accidentally called a number on FaceTime Audio but hit end pretty much immediately after making the call, will the receiver of my accidental call get a notification saying missed call? On the device I made the call on it says an outgoing call was made however on my other devices (linked with the same Apple ID) it does not show up that I made a call.

Depends. It will show in your call lists and depending on the network and how fast you disconnected it may or may not show on the other end.

If you did a FaceTime audio call using the persons mobile phone number you have a decent length of time to end the call and them not receive a notification.

However if you used their AppleID to do a FaceTime audio call it will go thru near instantly and they will see it.

Experimenting at my house with my devices if I use FaceTime audio one iPhone to another using AppleIDs I can't hit the red hang up button fast enough to stop the call from going thru. Also and this maybe unfortunate for you, the record of me calling from one device doesn't transfer to my other devices on the same AppleID.

Obviously ymmv depending on network conditions. I do notice I get a lot of accidental missed FaceTime calls and this is probably the reason.

Haha no it wasn't the ex-girlfriend.. but it was someone I didn't want to seem like I tried calling them. It got me thinking if FaceTime audio works like a phone call, where you have to wait for the actual call to go through, or if it is more like Facebook calling where it shows up as missed even if you end it immediately.

I accidentally tapped on a friend in phone app while going through recent calls to check some stuff, and it made facetime audio call. As soon as the window came up i ended the call. I figured my friend wouldn't notice me calling since I ended it so quickly. However, the next day he mentions it. Seems like facetime calls go through isntantly.

Yes I'm pretty sure they go through instantly.

i dropped my phone on a table and it face-timed my ex with no option to hang up. Im still shaking in fear from this.
