While messing with network interface options I accidentally deleted the 10/100/1000 connection, and it no longer appears as an option. I did connect through the "ethernet" option. However, how do I get the 10/100/1000 option back?

Go to System Preferences > Network then click the + at the bottom left and you should be able to add it back.

Thanks, Weaselboy, but I tried that. It's not available there as a choice.

Yeah, that’s what I’m using. But what happened to the 10/100/1000 choice?

If you add ethernet then select is and clck advanced, you should see the 10/100/1000 options under the hardware tab like in my screenshot. I cannot recall ever seeing a 10/100/1000 option add as an interface.

You can rename the interface, so I'm wondering if you or somebody else renamed Ethernet to 10/100/1000 somewhere along the way.

I don't see 10/100/1000, but I do see the 1000baseT, as in your screenshot. The attached screenshot is from my MacBook Air. I used to see the same USB 10/100/1000 LAN option on my iMac. When I was fiddling with that, as I recall, there was an option that came up to delete it, and I foolishly did. So I was wondering how to restore it.Screen Shot 2021-02-15 at 3.26.08 PM.png
