It is part of the addressbook.

So it's in ~/Library/Application Support/AddressBook/Images/

Those are the images. Use quicklook to show you them (or open them in Preview).

You only have 1 file in there? I have an image for each person I have listed in my addressbook. By default you should be listed in your own addressbook with your image attached. If not then I don't know where your profile picture is stored.

The pictures should be stored in this location but I was not able to retrieve mine. One quick work around was to open address book itself, go to my "card", click and drag on the pic and drop to a safe location. Repeat for each account picture you want/need to retrieve.
