So it seems that Apple's methods for setting the monthly Achievement Challenges are broken. I've not had one awarded correctly so far despite beating all the targets. I've posted in other threads, but for example my January Challenge was to average 927 Calories per day - I did this by totalling 33911 Calories but didn't get the badge.
So now my February Challenge is in - I've got to get 33928 Calories, which doesn't seem like much of an increase but it doesn't factor in the 3 less days. So I've got to average an extra 10% per day. And of course there is no guarantee that I'll get the badge if I do complete it given past history.
I can see what Apple are trying to achieve by motivating users with these challenges, but unless they make them achievable (and rewarded!) it is quickly going to lose interest.
