1) Yes, double checked its disabled:

2) Yes, I misspoke. SSD is in SATA drawer, closest to the back of the computer. No other drives attached. Did not mean to say SAS.

Can you double check if you do everything right?

Mount your EFI partition, and check if you can see something like the screen capture as per step 12. Most important, make sure you can see the identical file path as showed in that screen capture.

I re-tested the command, it works (OpenCore installed on disk6 in my cMP)

I rebooted, deleted the EFI folder in the EFI disk partition, and tried again. I also checked post 594 again and this time downloading the bootpicker config file worked, so I used that.

I went through all the steps again, and didn't get an error this time after blessing. I rebooted. Still no HW access visible in VideoProc.app. But, about this Mac shows 3.5GHz CPU's, so something partially worked.

I saw your earlier post to another member to try: Result is as follows:

I see that tick, yes. But when I go to the options page to its right, it says "unavailable" for both H264 and HEVC. I tried downloading that sword 4k video file in post #1, but google says too many people downloaded it, and to try again in 24 hrs (had the same message yesterday).

And I would like to confirm that you can see the boot picker, correct?

I am too lazy to re-flash my RX580 with the original ROM image and test that config.plist.

No bootpicker. I re-read post 594 and did not see any hotkeys to press to get to it? If I reboot, it is black for a minute, then goes to my logon screen. If I hold down option after the chime (a guess on my part since that is how apple does it), it hangs, and pressing the power button shuts it down immediately (no long press needed).

I don't have any other drives or OS's installed right now. Do they need to be installed for the menu to show up? I do have Win 10 on a separate SSD and OS10.15 on a separate NVMe I can re-install to test, if you deem necessary. Thanks.

Edit, I put in my 10.15 NVMe drive, and it made no difference on the bootpicker showing up. I was able to select it as the boot disk using system preferences. PS, I tried playing the jellyfish file on that, it it stuttered most of the way though. What a difference hardware acceleration makes.

I am also experiencing the exact same error. I was able to boot into my backup disk and delete OC from my EFI partition but I am not sure how to proceed getting this working.

As noted in my sig I have a 560. I used the Universal config file. This sort of thing may be out of my wheelhouse but any help is appreciated.

I don't know if my Gpu Rx Vega 56 is mvc flashed.
I take it used.
However, after that screen the Mac Pro is rightly averted.
I don't know if I m gonna make the passage you say, if you don't know how to do it.

If just that cometic error, you don't need to touch anything.

I tried to make the procedure "one size fit all", it isn't that easy, and may produce artifacts during boot stage for some setup.

As long as the cMP can boot to desktop, work stably with HWAccel. Then nothing need to be changed.

Your cMP hang at there?

MacManu77's cMP can boot to desktop and use HWAccel.

If no boot picker, you better use the Universal config plist, that cut the boot time by 10s.

I updated the Universal config.plist in post #594 already. You may download that, mount the EFI partition, replace the config.plist, and see if it helps.

I confirm that updating the file now starts without that screen of post # 1,186
Can I now enable SIP?
I tried with the key combination cmq + R but it didn't let me in.
Can I do it from the terminal?

I never test this setup with SIP ON. I always keep it OFF.

If you want to enable SIP to protect your system files, you can join/search the OpenCore thread, or study the OpenCore manual, and set that in the config.plist.

ok, I leave it so ... the risk is too high and I'm afraid of having serious problems.
Can I ask you one last thing?
I would like to check now that the GPU actually works well with both .h264 and hevc files .... because I know that the GPU does not always go to 100% but alternates moments of full load to moments of unloading.
jellyfish is reproduced very very fluidly.
But in FCPX, for example, when I export files, the GPU is not always 100% loaded, but it alternates moments with full and others not.
Can we do tests?
