iPod touch Activated iPod Touch = Registered?

I want to jailbreak my ipod touch. It says it must be an activated ipod touch through itunes. Is that the same thing as registered?

That as far as I know only means that you have synced your ITouch with ur Itunes as when you first get the Touch you can't do anything with it until you have synced (read activated) your itouch.

You don't need to "activate" an iPod touch. You only need to activate an iPhone.
