Troubleshooting question. I purchased a new iPhone 12 Pro on a new line on my Verizon account through the Apple Store. Picked up the iPhone at the Apple Store yesterday and this morning when I try to activate the phone, after the screen that shows the new number, which I verified on my Apple Store receipt, it asks for my Verizon pin. After I enter the account pin I get an error that says it can't verify the information and to check my Verizon number and try again. I chatted with Verizon support but even with all relevant information from the phone and 5G sim that came with the iPhone, I'm still stuck on that activation error. Anyone here ever experience this? If it doesn't resolve I'll have to take it to a corporate store for help, or back to the Apple Store. Thanks for taking the time to read.
 
I am having the exact same issue, Apple assigns a Verizon number, which does not exist in your account and upon entering your account PIN, it's unable to verify and 12 pro max I have won't activate...spent 8 hours with Verizon and Apple, all I got was that to return the Phone a week from now (Absurd!). Will try to take to a Verizon store later
 
I'm sorry to hear you are having the same trouble. In my case after two days of not being able to activate the phone, I returned the device to the Apple store and purchased from my local Verizon Cartel store. I would have waited longer but I needed a live phone! I hope your issue gets solved soon.
