Activating iPhone 6, swap SIM's???

In preparation for receiving my new iPhone 6 tomorrow, would it be easier to swap the SIM from my T-Mobile 5S into the T-Mobile 6? Would this short-cut avoid the need to contact Apple or T-Mobile for activation? I don't do this often enough to remember how I did it previously, and I'm old so my memory isn't what it use to be. 🙂 Thanks to all who may reply.

Any tmobile sim will activate it.
But for the first ever activation it might need to be activated with the sim that's inside and ask for your billing zip and last 4 of your social.
