Activating iPhone via iTunes "iPhone Number"

Hi,

I've just got my iPhone today. I got it from my Dads company, I plugged it in to my PC and filled in the address etc and I got to "iPhone Number"

It isn't the mobile number so what is it and where do I find it?

Any help would be appreciated.

Really?! How come there are two boxes for the number? Which part do I put in each box?

That's probably it! I got fed up and pulled the USB out, phones working fine. Do I need to go back and fill in the phone number somehow? Not sure how I'll get back to it. Plugged it in again and then it all synced up.

Is it essential I do so? How will I?

Phone's working normal though!

I've had a look and its not displayed in itunes so I dont think it matters whether you put it in or not.
