After the 12.1.4 update and reset on my iPhone XS Max showed LTE and HELLO start screen, then I selected my language, country, and set up manually. It then says "It may take a few minutes to activate" and then it can do 1 of three things:

1. On wifi, it gives error "There is a problem with your "iPhone this iPhone cannot be activated. Contact carrier or applecare."

2.When I select "use cellular connection." it says it is unable to activate because the activation server cannot be reached."

3. Itunes restore does the same thing as well. " There is a problem with your iPhone. This iPhone cannot be activated for service. Please contact your carrier or AppleCare."

Is there anyway to hard reset and redo the update? Can anyone link me a post or experience of someone else with this issue, I dont have an apple store in my city, but could get there in the next few weeks. (iphone 5 till then eugh)

The XS MAX phone is still activated on my ATT account as well. This phone is not JB or changed in any way.

Make sure you have internet access on your wifi first...

Hopefuly you have made a back up, then you can do the following

Download the 12.1.4 IPSW firmware file, put your phone in DFU mode and restore with the dowloaded firmware, maybe that will clear the fault
