I just sold an iPhone 6s Plus to someone. They get the message sim is not supported. The iPhone is unlocked. I requested it a year ago and it was approved. I requested it again for the hell of it right now and just for the email saying it was approved again in within 5 minutes. I’m assuming it replied fast because it was already unlocked. But still the same message. I put the imei number on swappa and it says it’s whitelisted and imei is clear and ready for activation. So everything is good. Could it be the guys T-Mobile SIM card? I don’t know. Any help would help.

Even an unlocked phone must be used on it’s designed network. GSM with GSM, cdma with cdma etc. Are they trying to use it on the wrong network?

From what I read, all 6s phones were cdma and gsm. But even if they are not, I use ATT and he uses T-Mobile. So they both are gsm.

Weird, I'd call AT&T or Tmobile to verify its not blacklisted or something.
Tell him to restore via itunes and try to activate again.

Believe it or not, I guess I had to request another unlock from ATT. Weird how it was approved in 2 minutes then ir worked. Oh well. Thanks for your input guys.
