iPad Activation Lock

Hi

I have recently been given an old iPad from a friend but they cant remember the details to get past the Activation Lock on the iPad.

Is there any way i can get past this to use the iPad?

Apple can probably do something about it if proof of ownership is provided. But only Apple can. It’s a server side lock.

seen a video on youtube of someone inputting the clientID then using that input as the username and a space for password several times and getting into the iPad but hasnt worked for me

I can’t speak to random internet videos but to my knowledge only Apple can remove activation lock as it’s their server.
