Activation Process for iPhone 4

So what is the correct and best way to activate your iPhone 4. I keep reading different things, activate thru iTunes then AT&T or iTunes only or AT&T only? Which one is it?😕

If you're activating the line you used to upgrade, just activate through itunes.

Do it in iTunes. Couldn't be easier. You just need to provide billing zip code and last four digits of your social. Then it does it all for you.
