Got my iPhone from Apple app and just unboxed it and turned it on. I have Verizon. It asked me to confirm my phone number, which I did, and I pressed next, and it is just sitting at this activation screen with a spinning loading circle in the top right. How long should this take?

I have AT&T, but I sat on that same screen for 20 minutes. Finally I pressed the side button, selected start over, and it went right through the second time with no delay.

This happened a few years ago with the 6. iPhones not bought directly through Verizon had a difficult time activating because somehow Apple did not send the imei for those phones to Verizon, or Verizon did not enter into their servers. It took the whole weekend to sort it out. Phones bought directly through Verizon had no activation issues.
