Activity Monitor and arserver?

Anyone know what arserver is? It's listed in my Activity Monitor. My systems seems like there are too many things running. I have no idea what this is, but it's a PowerPC root item that's running in Rosetta. I force quit it, and it started itself back up.

This is on my laptop. My desktop doesn't have it on it. Any ideas how I can get rid of it?
