My question, is how you have so little % going. I don't know for sure, but I probably have more RAM and such, and I'm constantly using atleast 6-15% of my thing according to Activity monitor. But perhaps I don't understand it that well..

I guess a better question is, why do I only have like 600MB of memory available with 4GB of RAM total, and only Opera, Activity Monitor, MSN Messenger, iTunes, and Finder running? ;.;


Yeah, I have no idea. I don't even understand how to read the activity monitor all that well.

Because OS X is smart it knows the RAM isn't going to be any good just sitting there. So it leaves items in RAM after its done, with the off chance it might be used again. This gives you better performance.
