Like so many, I'm trying to figure these out. I at least get the idea of using calories - around 1800 - during the day just by sitting doing nothing all day, breathing etc. And that the Activity Move calories should be Active calories, i.e. Calories burned from exercise over and above sitting doing nothing all day....
So today I went on my regular 10,000 step walk to see what it gave me. Which was around 380 calories, and seemed fairly reasonable as active calories for that walk.
However, by the end of the day it had clocked up over 1000 calories even though I was mostly inactive after around 5pm. Although I did drive to a supermarket and walk around doing the shopping. But it still seems way to high.
As I test, I clocked it whilst sat on the sofa, and this evening it has been clocking up around 55 calories per hour with my just sat down watching tv, with a resting BPM of around 60.
I took it off just before midnight, and put it back on half past, and it was showing around 30 calories already.
What on earth is going on?
