I have 3 Apple Watches. A series 3, A series 5 and a series 5 stainless steel. Overnight I wear the 3 and do the treadmill in the morning. Before leaving for work, I put on the 5 and sometimes it takes 30 minutes or more for the activity to sync from iPhone to watch. If I go out in the evening, I'll put on the stainless model and it takes a ridiculous amount of time to sync the day's activity.
I have noticed if I open the activity app on my iPhone that sometimes forces it to sync quicker, but not always.
Anyone have any thoughts on this?

Yes and it is so annoying ... Sometimes it does not synch at all for days.
The good new is : with Beta iOS14 and WatchOS 7 (and latest WatchOS 6 on older watch), synch works like a charm.
It seems Apple really did a great job on this issue.

On current iOS13, yI've noticed that restarting both devices (after killing Activity app on each), starting the Activity app on the Watch and performing an handOff of it on the iPhone does help ...
