I just talked to them and they said that they won't even have them manufactured until after the 3G comes out....

which doesn't make sense, but still... i doubt yours has shipped, and if it has then someone messed up!

let me know if you arrive it and it IS the right thing though... i want something for day 1!
 
i think i prefer the black one, the reason being is the contrasting white back and black front, it just looks weird to me.
can you get the 16gb in black?

<sigh> No reply off them yet but in that case, what's the betting they've shipped the wrong one?!?

Pity we'll have to wait so long for them.

How is it a step back? =P

I like the white... it's sorta neat. Not sure about how scratch resistant the plastic is, only time will tell I suppose.
 
So did they redesign the speaker grills along the bottom on each side of the dock port? Looks like a tiny circle and pill shape on each side? I love the flush headphone jack though. I think this phone is going to look very good in person.

Because the new version look like a "budget" version of the first gen. I liked the old flat metal back much more then this rounded plastic.

Really people... let's wait and see them in person. You cannot usually tell the intangible feeling of quality of a product until it is in your hands. It is my suspicion that the old iPhone will feel very previous generation quite quickly. It's the normal progression of things.
 
I think I want the black one, BUT will buy the white one if fingerprints are annoying on the black one.

This is my vision of July 11th: me in the apple store, smooshing my thumb on the back of a black iPhone, then smooshing my thumb on a white one. Looks at black one, looks at white one.... crap, white one handles smudges and fingerprints better, but will it seem feminine to me after a while, will it get dirty, ugh, but the black is slick, but then again will I use a case anyway, no, I like it naked...."sir, you are next in line, would you like a white one or a black one?" 😱 aaaaargh, I don't know!

Had an email from Zagg:

Regarding your inquery, the invisibleSHIELD for the Apple iPhone (2nd Gen with 3G) (Back) will not be shipping until mid-July. The email notification sent is automated when ordering and has not been updated as of yet. I apologize for any confusion this may have caused and I assure you we will correct this.

So it suggests that they routinely send out shipping notifications whether it's shipped or not!
