Download and install went smooth, but for now it looks like this really is just a "bug fix" update with no noticeable added features…Anyone out there try it??

    UPDATE:
A list of big fixes can be found on Apple’s site here. It looks like Apple just patched security vulnerabilities in Safari for the most part…so sad.

    UPDATE 2:
Check out some other changes we’ve all found below.

:apple: When setting up an IMAP mailbox and you fail to properly connect, the iPhone will now ask you if you want to continue and try again with SSL off.
:apple: In the actual IMAP mailbox, much more folders are available for view like Inbox, Deleted Items, Sent Items, Drafts, Sent, Trash, Junk E-mail, Outbox, Public Folders, and RSS Feeds. These will vary depending on your actual folders, of course.
:apple: When setting a passcode to lock the device, it now offers a much wider choice of lock times.
:apple: If you decline connecting to a WiFi network, a popup box will let you know that you can turn WiFi off if needed.

FWIW, I had the extensive view in software version 1.0. (If you have unneeded info within the IMAP prefix field, it will revert to a concise view.)

The iPhone also updates signal from the cell towers alot faster now, so if i walked from an area of no reception to area of full reception (inside to out), it updates in seconds instead of requiring a restart or more.

After noticing the following bug early on, it was one of the first things I checked.

After configuring a PPTP VPN connection, it was 1) making me enter the password every time instead of saving it and 2) not saving my Encryption Level setting.

After installing the update, my password is saved as well as the encryption level. I also noticed that when it's attempting to establish the VPN connection, there is now a "Cancel VPN Connection" button, which was not there before.

Same here, Apple explicitly stated that this update was only to address security issues.

Actually, the readme says 'Bug fixes'. If it was only security fixes, it'd be called 'Security fixes'. just fyi.

The updates to the passcode lock really help...now it's just like my old Motorola, where it could just lock only for when you turn it on or it's idle for a while.
