If you're not jailbroken, there's an alternative web browser on the App Store called iCab.

It has ad blocking built in, but I don't use it often because the user interface is a bit cluttered.

icab, atomic and mercury browsers all block ads. Mercury is the best imo and the free version is the same as the paid apart from some pre installed bookmarks on the free version.
