Does anybody know an adblocker that actually works on YouTube? I don't mind paying but I'd rather do so to an adblocker than giving money or more of my personal info (which I find even worse) to Google.

Thanks a million

I'm using Adblock Plus in Chrome. Works perfect.

I use Safari. Adblock does work but I have to disable it, open the video once, than enable it and refresh the video url, otherwise it shows an error and the video does not open

I use Safari, I have uBlock installed and running but it doesn't work unfortunately
"uBlock" and "uBlock Origin" are two different things and from what I can see the latter isn't currently developed for Safari. This is one of several reasons I don't use it as my everyday browser.

I don't know any Safari answers. 🤷‍♂️

That's why I stopped using Safari for Youtube. As you said, Adblock in Safari doesn't work well.

Agree with the replies above, Safari sucks for YouTube.
I'd also suggest browsers like Opera or Brave with built-in ad blockers.

To me Safari is way more responsive and fluid without a content blocker. It's sad because I absolutely despise ads - especially during YouTube videos. But the experience is so much better without a blocker (on Google sites/Reddit/Twitter), that I have to switch to another browser with ublock origin if I absolutely want an ad-free experience. I love that Safari is blocking lots of tracking cookies though. So all in all it's bearable for now.
