Not sure where to put this but I'm trying to find the best ad blocker for iMacs. Figured you all would know better than google...

Depends on your browser. I use Firefox and Ad Block Plus and never see any popups or ads. It also works with Safari but I rarely use Safari, so I can't speak to its effectiveness. Works great for me, though and it's free.

Combination of Ad Block Plus and Ghostery.

The combo works on Safari, Chrome and Firefox on macOS and on IE, Edge, Chrome and Firefox on Windows.
