adaptor not compatible with Klipsch igroove

The phone charges, but sound does not come out of the Klipsch speakers. I hope it works with my iHome. If not, I hope I can return even though I opened it. 🙁
 
Spoke to soon - jiggled it around a bit and now it works! sound and charging!! Happy again.😱

Will try to remove unnecessary post.
