How do i fully uninstall it from my mac running macos sequoia? thanks

Try this:

Open Safari.

From the "Safari" menu, choose "settings".

In the settings pane, choose "extensions".

Do you now see the Safari Adblock extension?

Does it have an "uninstall" button?

Have you tried clicking it?

how do i know that everything has been uninstalled? does adblock install any background processes that run on macOS or does it only run when safari is being used?

Safari extensions are shipped inside apps. Delete the Adblock app in the /Applications folder. And that's it.

Keep in mind im downloading the Adblock for Safari from the Mac Appstore on MacOS sequoia. does what you said above still apply? there aren't any hidden folders left behind that i need to find and delete?

is there no need to go to safari > settings > extensions > adblock > uninstall as Fishrrman suggested a few posts above?

"there aren't any hidden folders left behind that i need to find and delete?"

If you want to explore this further, here's the solution:

Download "EasyFind" from here:
It's small, and FREE.

Open EasyFind.
Set up the window to look like this (see settings on left):
Easyfind.jpg

Then enter into the text search box:
adblock

Over on the right, there's a popup menu that specifies WHERE you want to search.
I'd just set it for the entire drive.

Then click the small "magnifying glass" on the upper right.
Give it a little time to do the job.

What does it find?
