I currently use http://www.weblockapp.com/ and it works great, overall. There are a few hiccups with a couple of apps occasionally, but if something doesn't work right, I just temporarily disable it.

No, Adblocker-type extensions aren't possible.

1. Apple likely wouldn't allow it
2. Extensions don't do anything without being activated by the user. For example, you'd have to press the adblock extension every time you loaded a new webpage, it wouldn't continuously run automatically like with Chrome on a desktop computer.

I used it on my stock iOS 7 iPhone and am now using it on my stock iOS 8 iPhone.
