HomeKit Add Apple TV to the Home app

I've got a few Hue lights setup in the house, running through the HomePod. I've seen a few people who have added there Apple TV into the Home app. Is this because they are using the Apple TV as a hub?

Managed to find the answer - Settings, Airplay, pair with iPhone or iPad and select your room the Apple TV in. Now the Apple TV shows in the Home app.
