Add Game Center Friends?

Now that the Game Center app is removed, how do I add friends? I am playing Super Stickman Golf 3 and had to challenge a friend by username because I couldn't figure out how to add him as a Game Center friend.

I have heard you have to use iMesssage to invite friends.

But I don't know if this feature is already integrated in Beta 2 yet.

Maybe this will show in setting, Game Center in the future. I see a manage friends entry but at the moment its empty. It says delete all but I bet in the future it will list friends.
