Hello.

I’ve received a .ics event by email and I want to add it to my iCloud calendar.

When I tap the attachment in Mail it does nothing. When I force touch I can either quick look, share or copy.

How do I ‘add to calendar’?

Many thanks.

M.

It was an email forwarded to me.

Try "sharing" it to the files app then once it's there, try to open it there & maybe it'll jump into the calendar

I guess to troubleshoot we'd have to know what host the sender is with and what host the recipient is with. All we know is your calendar is iCloud.

I’ve got no idea, it’s just confirmation of a house viewing and the estate agent attached the calendar entry for the date, time and address

FWIW, I tried this combo: an Outlook.com sending an invite to a Yahoo user who forward it to 1) a Google user and 2) an Office 365 Exchange user. In both cases, the calendar item showed up (in gray). I didn't try an iCloud user and I didn't try submitting a YES/NO/MAYBE response.

This doesn't prove anything regarding the OP's case but shows that in those cases it works to some extent.

I sent it to my mac and there I got the option to add an event, so I clicked Ok and it came into the calendar's app of both mac and Iphone cause i have the same Icloud ID on both
