Add-on to play FLAC files in iTunes?

You need to convert them (into ALAC) using FLACTunes (Mac App Store) or XLD (free), for example.

Just as Bruno09 said, there is no add-on for iTunes to play FLAC files. So you have no choice but to convert FLAC files to iTunes compatible formats like MP3, AAC, AC3, M4A, etc.
Of course, there are other options to choose, but the above one is the best so far for me to do this job.

Take a look at www.computeraudiophile.com and you will find mention of a few ( quite expensive ) programs that can be added to iTunes but you may find that iTunes is simply not worth it . There are other ways to play flac such as Vlc , JRiver Media Centre or Vox .
Apple have been disappointing with regard to audio and seem to concentrate their efforts on graphics/video mainly 🙁
