Hi wanted to know what people’s experiences were adding and removing the cellular watch plan on ATT. Can you do it all on device? I need to add it for a period of about 2 to 3 months Only.

I don’t have any existing contract with them and my phone is on Att and understand that they will prob charge some activation fee.
Thanks

You'll need to contact AT&T to activate cellular on your AW. I pay about $16.20 a month for the cellular which is inclusive of taxes, surcharges and fees - $10 (unlimited wearable) and $6.20 (surcharges and fees). You can cancel your AW cellular plan at any time. I don't pay any activation fees since I'm on the Signature Plan.

Thanks, when you cancel do you need to call them or can you do from the phone?

When you are ready to cancel the cellular plan, just go into Apple Watch > Cellular > on your phone -- see screenshot below.

If your phone is already on AT&T you don't need to call them. You can activate the watch directly from the watch app on your iPhone.

These instructions worked for me a few weeks ago when I activated cellular on my new Apple Watch.

There is a $35 activation fee - they waived that for me due to my Signature plan. If you don't have a Signature plan, and you're feeling bold, call them and ask them to waive the fee because you're such a good customer. They've done that for me in the past - I can't tell you if that still works today.

I'm paying just under $15/month in total, with all taxes and fees. The most annoying fee is the $1.50 E911 charge, since I'm already paying that on my iPhone for the same phone number.

As already mentioned, you can cancel from your phone. You can also cancel directly from the AT&T web site.
