Add to Devices?

In the new iTunes when I click the ... after a song/album one of the options is "add to devices". It brings up both my iPhone and iPad as options. However, when I click on "add to iPhone" it doesn't seem like anything happens.

Anyone know what this option is supposed to do?

Has anyone played with this yet and figured it out? Thanks in advance.
