Has anyone seen this before....

I've got my iTunes folder on an external HDD. Today my PC went belly up so I'm now using my iBook as my main machine. I've gone in to iTunes, selected the folder location on the external HDD as my music location. I've then added the folder to the library to make sure it re-scans it, but only a small percentage of my music is now showing up in iTunes.

Any ideas?

I don't know about the whole external thing, but is it possible that you have tunes on a different part of your HD that aren't in that folder that you don't realize? If you tried adding the whole folder, maybe try going by artist; iTunes may be getting overloaded by adding a ton of songs at once? I don't know it's at least worth a try.
