Am I going crazy or is it impossible to add widgets to the lockscreen without changing the desktop background?

I've had the same image for years, and I want to keep it that way, and I don't feel like scrolling through my thousands of images to find it again.

Looks like it's impossible although you can import your own image, I haven't played around with it enough to say for sure. I lost interest when I realised you can only add one row of widgets! What a joke.

Yeah, it's just a matter of trying to find that image.... I also checked Settings->Wallpaper, but you can't actually select the old image there (I was trying to "favorite" it, to make it easier to find).

It looks like you can’t edit a lockscreen pair. You need to start from scratch if you want to change either background or modi what widgets are included on the lock screen. Just remember to edit on the lockscreen and not Setup so you can delete your original lockscreen pair.

You are lucky that you still have the original image and can simply recreate it on a new lock screen, anyone who doesn't is out of luck on using the new features without changing their wallpaper.

Why they designed it this way I have no idea.
