added memory slowed macbook down.

my early 09 macbook came with 2g ram. i bought 2 sticks of samsung 2g to up my ram to 4, but system seems to run slower. any suggestions?😕

How do you know it's slower? Did you check to make sure the 4 GB is registered? If so, do a pram reset.

Are you sure the memory was installed correctly? Does the System Profiler recognize all the RAM you installed?

Apple uses Samsung ram usually.
