I thought this was interesting. Yesterday afternoon I ordered a 13" base MBP with the miniDVI adapter as an accessory. After paying I noticed the order showed as Custom Configuration (MBP 13.3/2.4/CTO) with shipping estimated between 2-4 days.

I cancelled it, and ordered the items separately. It comes to the same exact price, and ships between 1-3 days...

yeh i ordered the DVI adapter as well but since mine was already CTO (high res screen) i just left it in the order. The reason that the Mini DVI adapter makes it a CTO order is because they include it inside the actual box which is fully sealed when you get it, and none of the standard config options have this in the box...still quite interesting how long it takes though :)
