Okay, so I couldn't find a good answer to this.

My wife is on her parents plan currently, with Verizon.

I have a plan that is my own, I am the only line, on Verizon.

If I want to port my wife's number from her parents account, to my account and add a line, would that be eligible for new 2-year pricing?

If so, what is the order of operations here. Does Verizon allow me to port the number at the same time I create the new line of service, or is that done manually over the phone after the fact?

Thanks much.:apple:

No porting within a carrier, you can only do a transfer of responsibility of her line.

To get the new 2-year pricing, she would have to be upgrade eligible for Verizon. Sounds like you might need to do extra steps if you really want to keep her number....

A possibility I've done before:

Just sign up for AT&T with a cheap phone. In fact you don't need to sign a contract or anything; just say you want a new account and want to port a line from Verizon. Transfer her number over. Then after the port to AT&T is completed, immediately port it back to Verizon as a new line on your account; this will cancel the newly created AT&T line.
